MotoX makes RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport truly diverse.

In 2009 RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport has added regional, state and national MotoX events to the expanding range of medical and trackside services it provides to motorsport.

It's an exciting addition to the calendar, particularly given the support of MotoX promoters keen to see the safety of competitors is evolving and improving. In providing medical services to MotoX, RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport is striving to achieve faster response times for injured riders as professional trauma and emergency department  nurses, doctors and paramedics are strategically positioned around the track with equipment designed to assist with minor and life threatening injuries. The medical team members are supported by team members on corners providing important yellow and medical flag coverage. It's an innovative package of officials adding to the MotoX scene.
MotoX has enabled expansion of the RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport team's training program to include new types of head & neck restraints and protective clothing.

With the addition of MotoX to the calendar, RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport will provide medical and trackside services to a diverse range of motorsport events in the upcoming months including tarmac rallies, circuit events, dirt rallies, hillclimbs and motorsport corporate events.

Australian Tarmac Challenge Round 1 Vic May 29-31 2009

A few things have changed in 2009 and one of the major changes is the Australian Tarmac Challenge, formerly the Dutton Rally Series. The event has seen not only a name change, but an overhaul of the points system and the introduction of some very exciting new venues. One thing that has remained the same is that RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport will once again provide a dedicated and professional crew to run the event and provide the medical services for all three rounds of the series.

Round 1 of the Australian Tarmac Challenge was held in Victoria on the last weekend in May, with the event starting off at the famous Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit where the competitors would face two challenging Auto Tests as well as Circuit Sprints. The weather was great and the competition was tight.

Saturday would allow competitors the opportunity to compete in a series of Auto Tests and Motorkhanas at the usually inaccessible Holden Proving Grounds at Lang Lang. It didn't disappoint, with some fantastic courses and competitors even got to run on the banked dome! The day was challenging and enjoyable.

The final day would see the event split over two venues, the first at Haunted Hills in Morwell where competitors would compete at the popular new Hill Climb and secondly at DECA Newborough for a fast and challenging Auto Test.

After a busy three days of competition everyone headed to the new Chifley Hotel in Dandenong for the presentations with congratulations to not only all the winners but also all the competitors for an outstanding weekend.

The team at RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport would like to thank the generosity of all the competitors, led by Alan Evans for raising $3177 on the night for the purchase of new medical gear to be used at future events.

Thanks also goes out to all the RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport team members for once again showing fantastic commitment to meet all the challenges placed before them. A special thanks to Tim 'Cowboy' Phillips for taking on the role as Medical Services Manager for the event.

We now look forward to Round 2 of the Australian Tarmac Challenge to be held in New South Wales on September 3-6, 2009.

Round 4 Victorian Rally Championship & The 51st George Derrick Memorial Rally.

Saturday 18th July 2009

CCRMIT once again staged the combined Round 4 of the Victorian Rally Championship and The George Derrick Memorial Rally at Avoca on Saturday 18th July.
Well over 80 cars from State and Club level competed in the event. RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport once again provided Medical Services to the event in the form of 2 Incident Response Vehicles. Drivers faced challenging conditions over 7 wet and slippery stages.
The RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport team worked closely with the crew from Ballan CFA who provided valuable fire suppression support. It was a relatively quiet night in the forest for the intervention vehicles, however some spectacular scenery was enjoyed by all day and night.

Huge thanks to Philippa for taking on the role of Medical Services Manager and Catering manager, assisted by Kylie to ensure everyone was well fed throughout the event.
A fantastic and successful time had by all.

June 27-28, 2009 - Gippsland Region Motocross Series Rnd 3 Rosebud.

RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport returned to the place where the motocross adventures all started, the Rosebud District Motorcycle Club, for Round 3 of the 2009 Gippsland Region Motocross series.

It was a great weekend with the unveiling of the two new RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport Pit Tents from Altegra to be used as portable Medical Treatment Centres and the first outing for the teams new All Terrain Vehicle. The Pit Tents looked awesome and came in extremely handy. The ATV was a fantastic edition to set up the courses in the morning and then transporting patients back to the treatment centre with the racing able to continue.

The weather over the weekend was fine but cold and this resulted in some fantastic racing with the juniors hitting the junior track on the Saturday for a full day of events. The RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport team was kept busy in the sand dunes with a number of spills and thrills but fortunately nothing too serious.

After a busy day at the track the team headed back to the house for a BBQ dinner, time to relax, have a few quiet drinks, reflect on the days activities and watch some of 'Cowboys' RACESOLUTIONS compilation DVDs on the big screen.

The Sunday started out cold and foggy with the racing moving to the seniors track for the days events. The fog lifted and the sun came out for what was another great days racing. With the higher speeds and larger jumps there were plenty of spills and a number of patients again treated for a variety of injuries.

All the RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport team did a fantastic job over the weekend with Tim 'Cowboy' Phillips doing an exceptional job as medical services manager. The team also welcomed Dr Dindi for his first RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport event. Thanks also to Andrew Staff and all the Rosebud District Motorcycle club members and competitors.

RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport now looks forward to the next MotoX event at Maffra on July 11-12. It will be a huge warm up for the competitors entering in the Australian Junior Motocross Titles in September.

MOTOX

Sep 3-6, 2009 - Australian Tarmac Challenge, Round 2 New South Wales

The second round of the Australian Tarmac Challenge would take place in NSW and take on a new twist from previous years, as this year the competitors would start out on the Thursday morning at Eastern Creek raceway and over the next three days would make their way up the NSW coast competing in a variety of different events and locations with the final challenge being a run on the World Rally Championship Super Special Stage in Murwillumbah.

The RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport crew would have a challenging weekend with the team providing all trackside and medical services at 10 venues, covering 1,500 kilometres of NSW over all 3 days of the event.

Competitors from Street, Club & Motorsport classes entertained the locals at street stages in Taree, Kempsey, Coffs Harbour foreshore and the huge crowd that had assembled in Murwillumbah for the WRC Super Special Stage on Saturday night. In between there were Circuit Sprints at Eastern Creek & Raleigh Raceway and Hillclimbs at Mt Cooperbung, Raymond Terrace & Grafton, testing the skills of all drivers across a variety of events.

Evening functions provided an opportunity to share the highlights of the day, stories of fast times and narrowly missed hats. After the run on the WRC Super Special Stage everyone gathered for a drink on the balcony of the Imperial hotel, overlooking the start line of the Super Special Stage to watch the WRC cars do their stuff before heading to Tweed Heads to celebrate what was a great event.

Sunday would be a relaxed affair with a presentation function at the Murwillumbah Golf Club, the RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport crew took this opportunity to pack up then headed back to Tweed Heads for a well earned relax and swim at the beach.

Thanks to all the competitors for a fantastic weekend, close competition and co-operation in arriving at the venues on time and working in partnership with the RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport crew.

To Mossy and the management team, thanks for setting the most challenging schedule yet! As well as providing the opportunity for some fantastic motorsport across NSW.

For the RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport team it was an outstanding achievement over a long three days. Special thanks to the road crew who spent an extra 3 days travelling to transport all the medical, trackside and set up equipment to and from the event.

Congratulations to Heather and Irish Tom for surviving their Rookie ATC event (it doesn't get harder than this one!) and to Michelle Spence for volunteering as the Medical Services Manager in a challenging event for logistics.

We now look forward to the ATC One Dayer on November 21st to head back to Lang Lang and enjoy more motorsport!

The RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport management team would like to congratulate Roger 'Goose' Williams for doing an awesome job in the role of RACESOLUTIONS Liaison for the event.

October 3, 2009 - New Champs Crowned at the '09 Aussie Junior MX Titles

Racing has now finished at the 2009 Honda Australian Junior Motocross Championship, and the points are in for all 16 Championship classes.

Throughout the week, more than 2000 people have descended on the Gippsland area and with just under 700 riders taking part in the event, the Maffra Sale Motorcycle Club have done an excellent job.

Club President Mark Tyquin said that he couldn't have been prouder of the club and the organising team for their efforts throughout, not only the last week but also the last 18 months.

"The entire team: club volunteers, race officials, Race Solutions, all of our sponsors, the local council and community, all of the rider's and their families all need to be thanked for making this possible.

November 14, 2009 - Parachute for Poverty Fundraiser

On Sunday 14th November 2009, Chaplaincy Australia hosted the first ever Parachute 4 Poverty.

RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport was there to support Mark Bateman and the fantastic team at Chaplaincy Australia as well as support team members Roger Williams and Cath Jones who were fundraising and jumping out of a perfectly good plane.

Mark Bateman says "The purpose of the day was to raise money for people in the bush doing it tough, especially in bushfire affected areas."

The RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport team congratulates Mark Bateman and Chaplaincy Australia on the incredible work they do for communities and people in need.

December 4-6, 2009 - Pacific Hire Mt Buller Sprint

It took a lot of organising but the 2009 Mt Buller Sprint took place on the first weekend in December and what an awesome weekend it was with 80 cars entered to take on the 16 km of twisting mountain road.

The RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport team would once again take on the massive task of running the event for Mountain Motorsports by providing over 100 officials, needed in areas such as Medical, Fire & Rescue services, Rally Command, Event Management, Scrutineering, Start Line, Stage Commander, Assembly Areas, Competitor Relations, Timing, SOS and spectator points throughout the 16km stage.

The weekend would provide the competitors with 10 timed runs up the stage over the three days of competition, with a variety of vehicles entered from classic cars such as GT Falcons, A9X Torana's and Porsche's to modern Subaru WRX's and Mitsubishi EVO's all the way to present day supercars like Lamborghini Gallardo's and Nissan GTR's.

Mt Buller is traditionally known for being cold with its snow covered peaks but the weekend provided what would had to have been the perfect conditions with glorious sunshine and temperatures in the 20s. This allowed for some fast and close times.
Congratulations must go to the team of Jason and John White who took out the event in their 2009 Lamborghini Gallardo just pipping the team of Steve Jones and Glen Weston in the 2008 Nissan GTR R35 with third place filled by Dean Herridge and Chris Murphy's 2008 Subaru WRX Sti.

The weekend also had a great social feel with the RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport team coming together each night for dinner, a few drinks to unwind and a lot of stories to tell. It was great to see everyone chip in to help with the cooking, cleaning and the sandwich making which some how turned into a competition!

Very special thanks must go to Pacific Hire for coming on board as the major sponsor for the event along with RDA Brakes and Mitsubishi Motors for providing Medical and First Intervention Vehicles and course vehicles.

Thanks must also go to all the competitors for their support, cooperation and friendly attitude over the weekend.

Lastly thanks to Peter Washington and Mountain Motorsports, VFRS and CFA, Vic Police and all the other officials, and to the RACESOLUTIONS Motorsport team who one again showed a professional image and a diversity of skills in running the event.

Special thanks to the early set up crew of Darren, Claire, Travis, Sarah and Marty to help make the 2009 Mt Buller Sprint one of the best.
